Week of Prayer for Ukraine!

Our church has agreed to host an e-mail “Week of Prayer” for Ukraine on their e-prayer list! The prayer e-mails will go out from this Thursday through Sunday. We are so excited to partner with them in praying – you can also follow along the same e-mail prayer requests through our newsletter.

If you are already a part of our newsletter list, you can click here or follow the link that was in the last e-mail we sent out with the subject “Week of Prayer for Ukraine!”

If your church would like to partner with us, please send an e-mail to Screen Shot 2014-01-03 at 9.10.33 AM so that we can connect with your pastor / missions director.

Speaking at Horizon Indy

Wow – I love my church! Horizon Indy is such a cool place to come home to. I love how welcoming the people are, the teaching is good, and the worship is sincere. Katya and I spoke at all three services today, and it was such a blessing. We just shared about the past 2 years of ministry and briefly about what is coming up next. It was so much fun. Below are some pictures.

I know it might sound weird, but I always get the most nervous speaking at my own church – especially during 3rd service! I really don’t know why… Maybe it’s because I’m getting hungry for lunch, maybe because it’s the most people there… I don’t know. I LOVE my church, though. I was almost brought to tears on Wednesday when we were there for church just because I missed this place so much. It was so good to hear Bill teach and just see all of our friends here.

Thank you to all of you guys that have made our stay in America SO welcoming so far. We love you guys!

Men, we need to…

Men, we need to stand up for our families and lead them to the King.
There is nothing un-manly about following Jesus Christ; in fact, it’s
the biggest challenge you’ll ever face. Too many men are staying home
while their wives take the kids to church, taking a nap while their
wives read their Bibles to the kids, and turning the TV on while their
wives pray for their souls. #standup – Your example will either pull
your kids closer to God or push them away.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about being a man, what it takes to be a good father, and stuff like that. Somewhat out of frustration and somewhat out of just a desire to encourage others to do and be all they can be, this was my Facebook status a week ago. One of my prayers is just to be a better husband and eventually a good father. (No – Katya is not pregnant! You can stop asking now! We’ll let you know if that happens – we’re “waiting” right now! 😀 😀 😀 )

You may have had a good dad, you may have had an absent dad – either way, if you’re a Christian, God is your dad. When you feel like being absent, going to the TV instead of interacting with your wife, etc., God can and will give you the strength to be a good husband and Father. That’s a fact, if you ask Him for the strength. He is your ultimate example.

We are in a very unique time in America. More kids are growing up without a dad than with one, and we can see the impact on our culture. Let’s take our God-given responsibility seriously and #standup. Be men.

You can help us travel around!

We are busy about the business of hammering out our itinerary for this spring with visiting the rest of our family and churches around the nation. There are churches that are a part of our Prayer and Support Team all over Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, etc., and we want to go visit all of them, in addition to some other churches in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Kansas, etc. We want to do what Paul did when he went back to Antioch and report on all of the great works that God has done and about our future plans.

sedanWe need a car while we are here just to get around Indiana. If you can lend us your car for a few weeks, or even just a weekend, please let us know by clicking here.
