The Worship Ministry

The worship ministry is doing well.  We’re getting lots of positive feedback just about how we do worship.  They say that our style is not just good, but it’s really different.  I was talking to a friend about it today, and he told me that he really appreciated how we sound good, but there’s never too much of what we do.  He said that you can tell that the focus is always on the worship and not on the worship team.  That was awesome to hear.  Please be praying for us as a team- we need more songs in Russian and Ukrainian, and I need to be able to learn them quickly.  Also, I’m really going to miss playing with them while I’m in America.

If you would like to hear one of the songs that we do, you can check it out on YouTube here.  I translated it from Ukrainian into English so that I could do it in America when I get back.  It’s one of my favorite songs.

Remembering how my whole take on the world changed 10 years ago… I remember how we used to pick my dad up from the gate at the airport. I remember thinking it was so cool that the U.S. really didn’t have any major enemies, ’cause the cold war was over, and everybody just seemed happy to be free. I’d always thought of a terrorist as some one-off political fanatic… Then, I remember my face being glued to the television screen watching as a rescue effort turned into a recovery effort and watching thousands mourning. I remember praying and crying… I remember thanking God that my dad didn’t take that job in New York that he thought about… right across the street from the World Trade Center. I remember wanting to join the military so that I could do my part – scaring my mom to death.  I’m praying for the families affected by this.

Somethin’ to pray for the worship team…

Hey, guys. Just wanted to ask for a little prayer for the worship ministry here in L’viv, Ukraine. There’s a couple of things that I’m trying to rearrange with the format, and we’re waiting on getting a sound system in from America. The Pratts are also just getting back, so I’ll have the rest of the team back! I’m really excited for that. Please be praying that we’ll find our groove playing together very quickly.
Some other ideas I’ve had for the team are having outdoor evangelism concerts and stuff like that. Please be praying for those opportunities.  I’ll let you guys know if anything materializes.
So… all in all, please be praying for us as we minister to the Lord and other people in song.
God bless!
