The Norton’s

Just went to Jack Norton’s home fellowship last night.  They were very welcoming.  From food, to prayer, to fellowship, to genuine interest in the LORD’s work in Ukraine, they showed me a very good time.  It was interesting trying to prepare to go over there.  It seemed like the devil just didn’t want me to be there.  I took a nap in the afternoon and didn’t wake up until the time that the home fellowship started, and when I went to go get the fliers off of a computer, the computer wouldn’t let me log in.  It’s a good thing God had His plan instead of mine.  I’m not sure that I was supposed to have fliers yesterday.  I was able to point them all to my website.

One thing that was really cool about going there is that a woman there knows a guy from Ukraine.  She’s trying to set it up so that he and I can meet for lunches and practice Ukrainian.

San Antonio and other news…

Well… I’m back, Indianapolis!  Texas was beautiful!  I was so, very glad to visit my mom and sisters.  I’m also excited to get back to Indy and get to work.  A couple of things have happened since I was gone:

  • My ticket date changed: I am now leaving in June.  This allows me more time to raise support and to share the vision with other people.
  • I have made many changes to this blog, adding pages (see above list of links – “blog”, “About Ukraine”, etc.)
  • In the pages added above, you will find lots of useful and interesting information.  🙂
  • The Pratts received their minivan!  Praise the Lord!  They are unpacking it and enjoying the gifts we sent them.
  • I visited Calvary Chapel Southside in San Antonio, TX, and that was a great blessing.  I’m hoping to go back down there and visit in a year.

Please feel free to peruse around this website to familiarize yourself with its new features.

So far, I have visited:
Horizon Indianapolis
Horizon Central Indianapolis
Calvary Fellowship of Greencastle
Calvary Chapel Terre Haute
Harvest Ft. Wayne
Calvary Chapel Ft. Wayne (the youth group)
Calvary Chapel Southside San Antonio

If you would like to book me at your church or just to have more information, please call me at 317 430 5432 or e-mail at dsnead@ccbci.org, and we’ll make some plans.  With my extended stay in the States, I should have a few more Sundays to travel around.

Texas…

Wow.  I’m actually back in my home state hanging out with my mom and sisters.  They’re out at school or jobs right now, so I’m about to go take a walk around the neighborhood, but they’ll be back this afternoon.  It’s been so long since I’ve seen them that I barely recognized Hannah.  She’s so tall…  Mom’s told me about the other boys in her class liking to hang out with her…  Somebody get me a baseball bat.  Haha.  She’s nine, now.

They’re all doing well.  Gloria is a nanny for a family near here, mom works for a Christian school, and Hannah goes to public school, and she constantly is in the newspaper for getting stellar grades.  My mom’s been in the paper too for something… she showed it to me last night… I can’t remember what it was.  I’m going to go see my older sister later this week, and I’ll be back in Indiana early next week.
Please continue to pray for wisdom.  I’m considering going out and meeting with a couple of the Calvary Chapels here in San Antonio.
