The meeting went ok. We didn’t meet with the Dean. We talked with the teacher that we know from the university, and she said that, although there are no rooms available, we might be able to have it from classroom to classroom with individual teachers. They’re having a meeting about it again Monday, and I’m still praying for a lecture hall (not just a classroom) to open up for us to use. Please keep praying!

Meeting with the Dean…
Please be prayin’ for the meeting today! Lindsay and I are meeting with one of the Deans of L’viv Polytechnic University about having the English movie club in one of their classrooms. Please pray for favor and understanding!
Thoughts on David…
Psa 7:1a “Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto Jehovah, concerning the words of Cush a Benjamite…”
David was a man of great faith and of great failures. God doesn’t use perfect people, because there are none, but He does use willing hearts. He want’s people after His own heart. Saul was imperfect as well, but he thought knowing God through his relationships with others would suffice. He followed God only partially. In the flesh, he was a “good leader,” but he did not follow the leading of the Spirit. David sought to know God, and God sought him back, through long hours in the wilderness, through trials and triumphs, and through these experiences of doubt, frustration, and anguish.
Remember – the trials are for your good. God wants to know you and for you to know Him. Allow Him to do His work in that.
Poland
So, the trip to Poland was cool. I was dog tired because I had coffee the afternoon before and it kept me up all night. It was like I was going through jet-lag all over again. We had to spend 5 hours at the border coming to Poland and 4 hours going back into Ukraine. That was really crazy. When the border guards saw me, they all did a double take. I don’t have the beard I had in my passport photo, and I look a lot like my Polish relatives when I don’t have it, so I wonder if they were thinking the Pratts were trying to smuggle someone back and forth. 😛 That means I should probably grow out the beard every time I cross the border. Haha.
I’ve wanted to go to Poland for a long time. Now I can say that I’ve been there, but I’d like to be able to spend some time there… maybe even take a team there. We’ll see.
An Update on the English Movie Club…
Lindsay and I had the first meeting with an English Department teacher on Wednesday. She loved the idea. We have a second meeting on Tuesday, this time with the Dean of the Department. Please pray for us.
- For favor and approval with the Dean.
- That God will be working in the hearts of the students and others who attend to be ready to hear and respond to the gospel.
- For the video and audio equipment needed to do this.
- For a good room or hall and favor with those in charge of assigning rooms.
