…seeking HIM.

God’s been really teaching me to seek Him.  I’m not to be seeking a Bible study, seeking the ability to do ministry (in the U.S. or abroad), or seeking the mastery of spirituality.  I am to be seeking Him.

In 2 Chronicles, it was always the kings that sought the Lord that were obedient to Him.  When they stopped seeking, they stopped being obedient, became prideful, assumed the Lord’s favor, and ran off without Him.  He then judged them.

When the land was invaded by Assyria, Hezekiah sought the Lord, and that was when he was delivered.  God said, “…because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib, king of Assyria…” (Isaiah 37:21) that is why God was delivering him.

God desires to spend time with us and to have dominion over our hearts, but He won’t take it from us.

Seeking God in 2 Chronicles
