Today is Patriot Day, commemorating the lives that were lost in the Twin Towers in 2001. At 8:46am EDT (the time the first plane flew into the first tower), I’ll be observing a moment of silent prayer for the families that remain. Feel free to join me.
Downtown L’viv…
I just saw a very cool show downtown. A bunch of people were waving torches around, breathing fire, and dancing. I tried to talk to a couple of people while I was down there, but no one spoke English.
I’ve found, when I’m trying to just talk to people, unless I really need something, it’s really best just to start with English. It’s kinda funny, but people are nicer to me when I start with English… pretty consistently. Although, today, I didn’t find anyone that spoke it, and I got a lot of weird looks when I was asking, “Do you speak English?”
Meeting – pt. 2
The meeting went ok. We didn’t meet with the Dean. We talked with the teacher that we know from the university, and she said that, although there are no rooms available, we might be able to have it from classroom to classroom with individual teachers. They’re having a meeting about it again Monday, and I’m still praying for a lecture hall (not just a classroom) to open up for us to use. Please keep praying!
Meeting with the Dean…
Please be prayin’ for the meeting today! Lindsay and I are meeting with one of the Deans of L’viv Polytechnic University about having the English movie club in one of their classrooms. Please pray for favor and understanding!
Thoughts on David…
Remember – the trials are for your good. God wants to know you and for you to know Him. Allow Him to do His work in that.
