God is really amazing, and I just want to take a moment to dwell on that. At the beginning of this year, before we were invited to come back to L’viv, I was praying through my “Yearly Request List”. Now, most people have “New Year’s Resolutions”, but those kinds of things have never worked in my life. What God has led me to instead is, at the beginning of each year, to sit, write down, and pray through a list of requests for the upcoming year. One of those things that I felt I was supposed to pray about was an opportunity to teach the Bible at our church. At first glance, I thought the probability of that was practically nil, because we had no idea where we would be in the few months after that. We were praying and praying, and every door we came to either just didn’t seem right or God closed it for us. It was a hard season.
Well, fast forward a few months, and almost everything else on that list has already come to pass as well, and it’s only August! That’s not to say that life’s been perfect, but Katya and I are back in ministry, we’re serving, helping, growing as a family… and I got to teach at my church last Saturday.
